what the network needs is a rave...

If the historically recongnised condition of raves was as both a product of and a reaction against the increasingly commercial, alcohol and meat-market oriented nightclub scene and Hollywood-monopolized radio airplay, then surely the natural reaction to a london monopolized artworld and value based on commercial viability is to find our own scene, our own way of being...

ok- so the relevance, history and connection between raving and networking is tenuous,So what!?
As the network is now around 500 strong i think we could probably get a pretty good rave scene going again round here-
it could be a new flagship project- it would raise visability, connect people, its accsesable, culturally vaguely relevant and quite possibly meets all the criteria of the arts council- so long as we employ a few folks to administraite it.

(anyone sense the growing skeptisism...)
