NOISE Festival
Role: Organisation
What our organisation does:
NOISE Festival 2008, the Europe-wide media showcase for young creative people aged 25 and under, is NOW open for submissions. Young artists looking to showcase their work to a global audience can simply head to www.NOISEfestival.com, register, create a profile and upload work. Anyone can sign up for the NOISE newsletter for opportunities and ideas, and it's free to take part!
NOISEfestival.com is a national charity providing a platform to positively project the talent, achievements and contribution of young people up to age 25. NOISE is a media-based festival spotlighting young people’s creativity via the mass media (television, radio, online, print and mobile). NOISE promotes young creative visionaries who do not have the social connections or choices, to leapfrog to the next stage of their careers to become potential role-models for the subsequent generation of young talent. NOISE exhibits any creative work that can be presented on screen including fashion, film, music, design, architecture, written word, graphic design, new media, fine art and illustration.
During the festival in October 2008, the website will showcase the best of the work submitted. NOISE top talent will also hijack the nations press via our unique media partnerships, including – MTV, BBC, MSN , with a range of creative magazines providing features and profiles.
Young artists can submit one entry to each NOISE 2008 project and upload up to six original pieces of artwork to NOISEfestival.com until 1st September 2008. NOISE Curators, a panel of acclaimed industry professionals including Badly Drawn Boy for music; Zaha Hadid for Architecture; Tom Dixon (Habitat) for Product Design; Norman Rosenthal (of the Royal Academy of Art) for Fine Art and James Sommerville (of Attik design) for Graphics, New Media and Advertising will select the best work to showcase on the NOISE website and endorse throughout the media.
