Biography

My work is about people and the stories that can share with us. I do this through the use of video, sound, photography, objects and oral histories.

My work deals with issues surrounding migration, home, dislocation, language, memories.

In the past I have worked with family members to create work about my own heritage. Coming from a mixed cultural background has definately influenced the themes and the way I work.

I also work with migrant groups across Cumbria. I am currently working with a group of ladies who come from Lithuania, poland and Slovakia. in this project the participates have collected photographs from their country of origin and have taken photographs of their new home here in Cumbria. The range of photographs and stories will be displayed in an exhibition at The Settlement in Maryport.
