Biography

Christian Barnes

Christian Barnes is a director of Vista Projects (UK) Ltd a small, newly formed creaive business, registered in the UK under the Companies Act 1985. It was formally established in April 2007 to continue the work already being undertaken by Lynn Fade and I as a partnership and prior to that as sole traders. It provides consultancy services in the arts and is primarily focussed on the improvement of the public realm. The company is commissioned in the north of England and in Scotland by a portfolio of public and private sector clients in the property, regeneration and development sectors to initiate, manage and deliver a range of cultural and creative projects.

The core company business is:- 1. developing creative briefs and client aspirations 2. developing and managing art & design competitions 3. cultural strategy and policy development 4. project management and co-ordination.

We have current research interests in energy crops and organic growing.

We have plans to promote cultural events 

Occasionally I collaborate with others to make artwork. This new element to the business can be linked to some of the conceptual work the company has been developing both independently and with others around new thinking on the sustainability agenda in the management and design of neglected urban landscape, ‘soft estate’ and transitional (temporary but productive) uses for development sites.
