Biography

I am 55 and live in Workington and have just opened my own business in St Johns Court off Oxford Street. At the moment it is a small venture selling art and crafts with a very small gallery. I have a BA(hons) and MA in Fine Art and am also a town councillor. I also work part time for Cumbria Adult Education working with people who are suffering from mental illness and learning disabilities (which I love, but not the paper work). I also work voluantarily in schools working with children who want to develop their artistic skills. My work is varied and I produce both 3D and 2D works, the 2D is usually pastel or oils (I prefer pastel) and I use many mediums for the 3D work ranging from fabric through to lead and re-cycled tin cans. I am very interested in meeting like minded people as I feel rather isolated here in Workington and I miss the art speak of college.
