The Network – and its members - organise a range of activities that seek to bring artists together, support their practice, have fun and strengthen the arts community as a whole.

Activities include: workshops / critical debate / symposia / talks / summer camps / visits and exchanges / ideas and skills swapping / forums / bus trips / informal gatherings / professional development / artist-led projects.

The Network also developed 3 HUBs around the county that bring together local artists to generate projects, discussion and peer support. HUBs in Carlisle, Kendal and Cockermouth organise events and exchanges and meet regularly.

The HUBs are a way to help strengthen local groups, peer support and generate activities, and we are keen to support and develop them. Contact the Network if you’d like to get involved in an existing HUB or create a new one in your area.
