Hello Farfield Mill
Many thanks for your kind comments on my work. The clay sculptural boat is just under a metre in height, it is a functional container with a lid making up the top pinnacles. It is made from a heavily grogged "crank" clay body and is fired to stoneware 1260 degrees c. The colouring is a yellow ochre oxide and the glaze is my own recipe (1/2 and 1/2 light oatmeal/crystalline clear gloss) glaze. The texture and surface design on the boat is created using natural "found" objects. The boat is a complete one off and is 100% unique and there will never be another one like it, I give all my boats a unique name this one is called "Goliath" It is obviously handbuilt and as always I used the whole sheet of clay to create it. This will retail at £400 pounds. Hope this helps.
