I am in the process of photographing all 130+ Abbey Roads in England. I have completed 48. It's a simple project that seeks to provide some or all of the following, some of which only occurred to me after I embarked on the project:
A sort of portrait of England A tribute to the Beatles, kind of
A way of surveilling myself A dissection of the idea of First Among Equals
A way of placing suburban, rural and unfashionable places together with cooler, metropolitan places and eventually put them on a wall in one of those cooler spaces. Most of us are suburban now, but like to think we're above it.
