Original Medium Installation (mixed media on card, acrylic mirror)

This installation was in the window of Highgate Carpets in Kendal, which formed part of Open Windows project of a couple of years ago. The painted circles (those on the shop window painted on both sides), worked together with reflections of the street and passers by caught in the mirror and glass to form an intriguing and ambiguous space where colour and image danced together in a music of the spheres (well - circles). I chose this image to submit partly because I love that ambiguity and sense of layered space and colour (captured well by David's photo) and thought it could make a striking image for the calendar, and partly because it is an example of my work rooted in wonderful Kendal (and in fact showing the road almost outside Green Door Studios where I work).
