This painting is based on a very crisp misty morning with a local cumbrian walking the little dog who is obviously looking forward to going out. I feel this painting is typical of cumbrian local life and is a familiar sight in the autumn and winter months, many people will be able to relate with this painting, their Father or Grandfather or family member may be remembered with happy thoughts.
