I think that

I've figured out the difference between a Craft person and an Artist...

It's an Attitued thing!

I have found that most Craft persons are warm, willing to share, listen to ideas and exchange views, skills and information...

On the otherhand...

I find most "Artists" the complete opposite to say the least!

Some people are so busy flying their "I'm an Artist banner" they loose themselves! They also loose out on knowing/meeting interesting people.

As you can guess, I've had a bad day! Today I went to (a well known for it's "Art" studio's cafe/gallery's, etc) town... I always thought ART was about communication of idea's, etc, etc! Not in that town!

That's one way to get a reaction!

Dear me Clive, you really have had a bad day.

It's a two-way process anyway, but I think that there are as many friendly 'artists' as friendly crafts people and equally there are as many crafts people who are 'up themselves' as artists too, no matter which town you visited. Don't let it spoil your life, feel sad for them briefly and move on.

Art is essentially

Art is essentially Individual..Indivdually interesting, Individually challenging and Individually engaging! In fact Individuallity Makes the Artist!

Yeah! I know you are right Janis... I also realize that I shouldn't tar all with the same brush..... I was so annoyed at the attitude of the folk I met in that nameless town.
