HUB'S

I know this might sound a daft question, BUT! Can members attend more than one HUB? Happy New Year to All!

Hubs

I assumed that Hub groups were formed by Network members for Network members and I personally think that this is how it should be.
They are part of the Network, and should feed back to the whole, and get fsupport from same.

Next Hub

Hi
So when is the next Hub in my area?
ta very much

steve

Hub meeting dates and location, where are you based?

South Lakes Hub usually meet at Kendal Brewery on a Sat morning

HUBBUB in Penrith area

Hi Steve - and anyone else who lives around the Penrith / Eden Valley area and who is interested in coming to potential HUB meeting for this area...

send an email to: post [at] thecumbrianetwork [dot] co [dot] uk

it looks like there might be enough of us to get something off the ground!

Penrith hub is...

Hi Steve,

a few of us in the area have been meaning to get together for a bit - there's a nice bunch of us. I was hoping to get everyone together this Friday but no can do now so will let you know when we can meet up.

Kate

(not far from Shap!)

from where you are,you could swing both ways! kendal or carlisle

You are most welcome at the carlisle hub, we meet on the second wednesday of the month,at 8pm.Now at the new venue of the Circle bar in Lowther Arcade,Carlisle.

Personally,at some point i would like to see a rural, eden and north lakes hub.The issues that face rural practicioners are distinct so a different gathering would be approprite.
Ideally one that toured quiet pubs would be good, then its a equal opportunity,is going to be difficult to get there for everyone at some point...

hope you find one,

hannah

Carlisle HUB

Cheers Hannah

I will pop up to the next Carlisle Hub and meet everyone. I have been looking at setting up a new "eastern eden area" artists association made up of 20 or so high end quality artist/makers. What do you think?

See you soon

steve

sounds like a plan

We would certainly be up for that, and the artist/makers aspect is very appropriate for this area.Keep us in the loop, and we hope to see you at the February meeting.

x hannah

Of course!

There are several HUBs each with different artists, styles, needs, activities and intentions.

Get in touch on the website or email us, or start a new one!

So at a Hub meeting is just a meet an' greet type thing?
I'm up for meeting fellow artists! It gets pretty boring talking to yourself all day, day in day out.. Not to mention worrying.. when you start to hear yourself answering you back!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

If any of you are over this way (Skinburness/Silloth) on a Monday or Wednesday evening I can be found in the Community Hall oppist the Petrol Station 7 till 9.30...45 ishhh.

Or give us a bell, PM, email...What ever and may be we can arrange a meet in a pub/cafe or what ever..

They're all different....

The HUBs have developed according to what artists make up the hubs and what sort of ideas developed out of initial discussions......

The Carlisle HUB have organised lots of events, activities, auctions and exhibitions - they are made up of a number of groups as well as individuals...

The South Lakes HUB has organised a trip to Berlin this spring...

The West HUB is organising events that tie in with other things happening, and currently have an environmental project un mind...

All the HUBs have been a superb point for contact for diverse practising artists, as well as a meet and greet, and also peer support. So they're great for these and more reasons!

We are hoping to put more resources into helping the HUBs develop further and creating new ones, so watch this space......

Don't worry I'll be watching!

i dont see why not...

we always want people from other hubs to visit us in carlsile so if there was someone that attended both they could act as an information sharererer...
