David Ferguson is a self-taught artist based in Kendal in The Lake District.

Having developed Osteoarthritis, David began painting as a means to keep his joints flexible. He has since developed a wide-ranging body of colour rich paintings in oils, a selection of which will be on show at the Doodle Room. Sadly, David is in constant pain, and painting is therefore an ‘Essential Therapy’ for him. As David says; “Keeping all my joints moving is more important than life itself; without movement, you don’t have a life. Painting for me is not about money, fame and fortune, it is about keeping a healthy mind and body.”

The exhibition runs until Thursday 10th September. Dickie Doodles is open every night from 8pm.
